1 cup chopped pecans
1 tbs sesame seeds
2 tbs sugar
2 tbs water
chopped dried figs
gorgonzola blue cheese
To toast pecans, heat a cast iron skillet to medium heat. Add pecans, sesame seeds, sugar and water. Stir frequently to prevent sticking. Remove from heat when mixture evaporates.
To assemble salad:
romaine, chopped dried figs, blue cheese, toasted pecans & seeds
Drizzle with your favorite vinaigrette.
