Sauteed mirliton
You've probably never thought of cooking mirliton, except for stuffing. In this recipe, we julienne them and saute with bell pepper, butter, lemon, and Magic Swamp Dust.

1 large mirliton
1/2 red bell pepper
2 tbs butter
1/4 lemon juice
1 tbs Magic Swamp Dust

Using a veggie peeler, peel off the mirliton's skin. Cut it in half lengthwise, then use a paring knife to remove the pit. Cut it and the bell pepper into thin slices or matchsticks. In a skillet, add the veggies, butter, lemon juice, and Magic Swamp Dust. When it's nice and tender (about 10 minutes on medium heat) and browned, it's ready to serve.
