Shish Kabobs
This is a great recipe because it is simple and perfect for the grill. Use whatever ingredients you want. We did some with a mixture of meats and veggies, some with seafood, bacon, and jalapenos. The key for these is tossing everything in a bowl of honey barbecue sauce first to evenly coat it.

Mixed kabobs:
1 bottle honey barbecue sauce
1 pound of each, sliced in 1/2 inch thick slices: chicken breast, pork tenderloin, filet mignon
bell peppers in all colors, sliced in 1 inch squares
grape tomatoes
mushrooms
red onions, sliced

Soak wooden skewers (if you are using them) for 30 minutes in water. We like these because you can double them up, using 2 skewers for each kabob, so that things don't try to spin on your skewer.

Toss everything in a large bowl. Skewer onto 2 skewers. Grill over medium high heat until the meats are cooked through. Baste a minute or two before pulling them off the grill.

Seafood kabobs:
Fresh jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
Oysters, shucked
1 pack of bacon
Lots of jalapenos, halved and seeded
1 bottle honey barbecue sauce

Toss the seafood and jalapenos in a large bowl with the barbecue sauce. Fry the bacon in a skillet over low heat until halfway done. (If you don't precook the bacon a little, it will not cook all the way). Remove from the skillet and drain.
For each bundle, take one jalapeno half, cradle a shrimp or oyster in it, then wrap with a slice of bacon. Skewer on 2 skewers. Grill until bacon is done to your liking.
