Spicy grilled onions
3 medium onions
olive oil for brushing
2 tbs paprika
1 tbs chili powder
1 tsp cumin
2 tsp coriander
1 tsp cayenne
1 tsp oregano
salt, pepper
Slice onions thickly, leaving "rings" together. Brush each slice with a little oil. Combine spices in a shallow bowl. Coat one side of each onion slice with spice by laying onion directly onto spice mixture and tapping off excess.
Grill over medium heat, spice side down for 3 minutes, then flip over and finish cooking onions until soft (another 2-3 minutes).
